A through and up-to-date book on the threat of bird flu infection and spread will be on Bulgaria's market as of Thursday.
The book called "The wing of threat?Bird Flu" has been written by docent doctor Krassimir Mekushinov, virus expert at the Military Medical Hospital in Sofia.
A total of 10,000 copies of the book will be published. It reviews the specific character of the bird flu virus, the disease symptoms and ways of treatment of the disease. The book also focuses on Bulgaria's preparedness to deal with the virus.
Bulgaria is preparing itself to effectively combat the deadly bird flu infection, after reports of the bird flu infection in Turkey.
Several measures such as ban on import of poultry from other neighboring states, prohibition of hunting of wild bird birds have already been implemented in the country.
