LOWER ALLOWAYS CREEK TWP. A joint investigation of the Lower Alloways Creek Police Department and the New Jersey Division of Fish, Game, and Wildlife led to the arrest of Timothy Hahn, 33, and Carl Fogg, 60, at 8 p.m. July 11, police said. Both men reside in Lower Alloways Creek Township.
Township residents complained to police of the men hunting deer out of season at nighttime in a field between Silver Lake and Fogg Street. Fogg was found to have a license to hunt deer out of season while Hahn did not, police said.
Hahn was arrested and charged with multiple fish and game violations, including hunting with an improper firearm, violating a hunting permit, and having a loaded weapon in or on a motor vehicle.
Fogg was charged with having a loaded weapon in or on a motor vehicle, authorities said.
The men were not charged with any criminal offenses by the township, police said, as the multiple charges from the New Jersey Division of Fish, Game, and Wildlife carry heavy penalties and fines.
Both men face pending a municipal court appearance, police said.
